Victoria  - Congo Hill group of prospects shafts and adits were
opened in 11 prospects between 1906 and 1909; over 5,000 feet of
development work carried out.

Outerbridge (1909) reported that selected samples from the area
returned gold values from trace to 1.72 oz/t;. silver values ranged from
trace to 56.44 oz/t. Values ranging from 4.06% to 69.32% Cu were obtained.

During a more recent program samples were taken from the adit at
Congo Hill returned (23.04% Cu, 197 g Ag/t, 0.058 oz Au/ton) One float
sample taken from the Little Juan de Bolas River up stream from Congo
Hill (5.79% Cu, 34.5 g Ag/t, 0.003 oz Au/t)

Replacement disseminated malachite occur in basal portion of
calcareous sediments of Peters Hill Fm (Campanian)
